Sorry for taking so long to reply. Thanks for the additional information - I was completely unaware of the tinted ground. You wouldn't happen to have the name of that publication, would you? I've had the devil's own time finding information on the Van Eyck's. What I have found was scattered through a dozen or more general surveys.
