Go out and buy the truest yellow ochre, burnt sienna, flake white, and raw umber you can find.
These are great colors to start with for painting flesh, in fact, if you add cadmium red and thalo/prussian blue (and black if you dare to break the 'rules') you can compose an entire picture with these colors alone. For the cool colors in skin, use raw umber mixed with white instead of being tempted to use blue or green. Good luck, and remember to always buy the highest quality colors if you don't make them yourself.
