: Boris and some of the other fantasy painters might impress the untrained eye, but if you are an experienced painter you probably would not be quite so impressed.

: I have seen hi actual paintings in person and I have went to museums and see master painters, such as rembrandt. if you see the actual paintings in person you can tell that Boris is a bit gimmicky. His paintings lack a real dimensionality that most of the masters' paintings have. Boris's paintings kind of remind of colored drawings rather than paintings.
: : Hi There,

: : First let me say that I'm surprised there is a great site like this on the net where you can ask questions about technigue :-)

: : Is it possible to post or e-mail a part of a picture of a painting I like and ask comment on the technique or is this a not possible it would be great.

: : The following problem that I have is that I look at paintings form fantasy art painters like Vallejo and Royo and I'm blown away by what they acomplish working on a painting just only for about a week and then it's finished. I used to paint months on my painting two year's ago. Now I start again with painting first on the pc to check that out but I want to go to real painting when I have found a location I can paint agian.

: : Here is my question
: : Is there anybody on this forum who paint fine realistic paintings in the style of Vallejo and Royo or maybe the dutch ans markus or other magical realists.
