: : how do you prevent hair and dust particals from acumulating on your painting, and if they have collected how do you remove them.. can you wash the oil painting with soapy water and dry it before painting to remove collected dust?.. any suggestions most welcome..

: Aside from the obvious advice which is to paint with a quick drying medium, cleaning your studio, buying an air filtration device, and avoiding stirring the air with a fan or by other means, I have found it useful to lightly abraid the dried dust laden paint surface with a 3M finishing pad to loosen some of the more weakly adhered dust particles and washing the surface with water and a paper towel.
