Re: dust and hairs
Aside from the obvious advice which is to paint with a quick drying medium, cleaning your studio, buying an air filtration device, and avoiding stirring the air with a fan or by other means, I have found it useful to lightly abraid the dried dust laden paint surface with a 3M finishing pad to loosen some of the more weakly adhered dust particles and washing the surface with water and a paper towel.
