A photograph is made with one eye (the lens). A good painter has two eyes and that binocular vision adds edges and epth perception impossible with only one eye (cover one eye and walk down a strange flight of stairs...call me from the hospital). Another thing is they eye captures images by scanning up and dpwn and right and left. That's why thy say the camera adds 15 pounds to you. Actually, the eye SUBTRACTS 15 pounds by scanning up and down and arraying those images into a singular impression. That's why the gun pointed at Elian looked so much fatter than it does in real life.
