: For gluing wood joints together, PVA is pretty good (hide glues have their advantages too), but it cannot begin to compete with rabbitskin glue (or any other gelling glue) for sizing linen.
Thanks for the info. I take it from your remarks that PVA would suffice to glue
canvas to a board (plywood or something similar), but RB glue is best for actually
sizing the canvas?
