I am at college right now, but my major is Computer Science, which makes it a bit hard for me to find a lot of art cources that i can take in my college. I've been drawing with the pencil only, but now i want to start experimenting with paints. However, learning even teh basic techniques in pencil was a tediouse task, so i dont really want to start all over with paints. The reason i am posting this, is just to get some info from you guys. Did all of you take cources in college, or did you go to some art clubs, or anything?

Hello as a first time poster at this forum it is nice to be able to tell you that I am completely self taught..never had a art class and from what ive read consider it money in the bank.I have a BSFA..(basement school of fine arts).What IS essential is perserverance and discipline,whether you are self taught or not..what I consider the backbone of successful artists. duck
