**I am at college right now, but my major is Computer Science, which makes it a bit hard for me to find a lot of art cources that i can take in my college. However, learning even teh basic techniques in pencil was a tediouse task, so i dont really want to start all over with paints.

You can take whatever classes you want to in college--all it takes is interest. It seems that that is what is lacking in your case. If you are not interested in learning the techniques of painting you will never be a painter. . . it's really that simple
