questions for later)
Is there questionable material in Mayer's chapter on chemistry?
Except for my crazy '89-'90 copal days i had painted with just straight oil paints from the tube with a tad of turpentine and my paintings were equally difficult to manipulate at times because of this. Oil painting mediums in general are very new to me. Stuff is starting to sink in, but i'd like to know a little more about the chemistry-what's going on behind the scenes, WHAT & WHY. any book or article tips i'd be thankful for.
