I just want to agree with Chris about the book, "How to Paint like the Old Masters" by Joseph Sheppard. What a difference it made in my paintings! Although I also use prepared mediums by Winsor & Newton, the techniques in this book are with their weight in gold!
I read a lot of books, and every one says theirs is the best way. Just find something that works for you! Experiment, and have fun! Re: Just starting into oil painting. Ahmed
