I do not want to say it countains litharge, I though that the formula you gave was for Megilp instead of maroger because you mention a blonde gel with no black oil:
"A recipe favored by some is: equal parts oil, mastic, turp, and a spoonful of litharge which is stirred once (like a martini!) in the mix then strained. This mix is blonde (no black oil) and gels just like mixtures with black oil."
In fact, even if all the ingredients are cooked together, it will turn out as mastic and "black oil" because oil and lead are still cooked together. I do not think, however,that the quality of the final product will be the same. Re: meglip Stump
