"As to classical music: the great French scientist, Louis Pasteur, is reputed to have said on his deathbed...the mileu is everything. "
For the past four months I have listened only one thing: Les Nocturnes, Chopin.
Every time i go in the studio I almost inconciouslesly pick number 3 and 4 on
the multidisk player and paint with this music. When it is finish, I pick it
again and again. I recently realized that i have never did that sort of thing
before. I usualy get tired of most music after a while. I have douzens of classical
disk from which to choose but always listen the same thing: 4 months, 8 to 12
hours a day! This music is just the most perfect thing in the world for painting.
The strangest thing is that i can't get tired of it. Unless i suffer from a
permanent psychological disorder, it may be that appropriate music helps for
being creative and to set the good pace. I almost follow the notes when painting.
I guess that Metallica would have a very different effect on my work...
