gold leaf over oil?
Hey everyone!
I had a question about not leaf but foil actually. I am painting on a panel with marble gesso. I have some beading that I am going to attatch as a frame with rabit skin and then foil it. I will be using an adhesive to attach the foil.

My question is: Should I attach the trim first and foil it before ipaint because if I paint withoils then the watterbased rabbit skin glue (and probably the adhesive iswatter bases as well) will not adhear to the oil. I have no problem doing the trim and the foiling first but thought I would ask anyways. I know you guys just live for this technical stuff!!
