Well so far I haven't heard anything about waiting, probably because oils take long to dry, at least without a dryer, it shouldn't matter. The standard thinner, is 1/3 turpentine, 1/3 linseed oil. 1/3 damar's varnish. Easy on the oil if you don't need the glossy look. Justine
