oil painting on gold leaf???
I am a still life painter. I paint in the traditional style of underpainting and glazes and I use liquin as a medium. I am interested in trying to glaze on gold leaf. Does anyone know how to go about this?? Is it even possible? I am thinking of gold foiling on top of my underpainting, then glazing. Or should I foil over gesso? I have done absolutely no research on this and would like any suggestions. thanks!!
