: well i have a question.. what is the difference between oil and acrylics.. because i got this acrylic paint and i really don't know what to do with it because i have only worked in oil and pencil.. lol.. so could some one give me hints.. differences and stuff thanks..
I agree with Rob and Barb. Acrylics just don't have the same flow as oil, and are harder to work with for me. I don't use much Turpentine anymore, and what I do use is the odorless variety. Similar to what Barb does, I use Murphy's Oil Soap to clean my brushes! I add some water to it, and after cleaning the brush, squeeze it out completely before applying more paint, or letting it dry. The brushes are much happier, are soft, and don't look like they got plugged into a light socket anymore! Obviously, this is economical and makes for a better painting too!
