Thomas Kincaid "the master of light" as he (and his marketing team) so readily calls himself is just a guy who uses yellow in all his paintins.
He never really capture the real feal of light, never creates a real light sorce and never creates luminosity. Not the man to be studying!!!!!
He just has a great marketing technique. Sorry for my bitterness but I am getting a little tired of this culture looking up to artists like that that just apeal to some peoples aesthetic because he goes one step further than Bob Ross by turning that cute little shack into a quaint little cottage!!!! As for composition; dont even get me started!!! (too late right?)
Sorry ... Your measage is the first thing I stumbled across this morning and you know how that can set you up for the whole day! : ( You have touched a nurve.
In short: out of the two choices........ Monet. : P
Luminosity is usually created by creating many transparent layers of paint. Those two artists are not "thin" painters. Monets paintings are probably still a little wet.
George Tooker is a great artist to look at. He is an egg tempra painter that creates a temperature in his paintings. He is a great Luminits painter!!!
that's my two cents
