Kitty ,

I used Rembrandt while I went to Pennsylvania Academy
of the Fine Arts . Never had any complaints .
The colours I used were -

Yellow Ochre [ or Mars Yellow ]
Red Ochre [ or Burnt Sienna or Indian Red ]
Ivory Black
A White

This is the Dead Palette , also called the Traditional
Portrait and Skin Palette .

: Hi-- I'm taking a college level course on drawing and painting the human form. From a list of brands of oil paint recomended to bring with me to use I have to choose which one. I have no idea which is better to use in which situations. The brands I have to choose from are: Winsor Newton, Gumbacher, Rembrant, and Ultrecht. If anyone could take the time to tell me their personal preference and reason, or any information about the brand's paints it would be greatfuly recived. I have a month to get all the supplies together! Thanks so much! Kitty
