Cadmium is a based on cadmiumsulfide and zinksulfide,you can have it from yellow to red color even up to green.It is found in 1817. Painters have been painting with it since 1830. Real cadmium is of high quality and keeps its color,it can be mixed with all pigments except copperpigments.Because it is a heavy metal it is really bad for our environment and it is poisonous too. Therefore many painters use a less quality witch is called cadmium hue. For studies or minor work you better use the cadmium hue, for top work real cadmium
