Your two years out of a liberal arts college have left you ill prepared to speak with any authority on any subject other than habitual masturbating. Much as it pains me to say, Stump is absolutely correct...at least from the standpoint of paintings lasting a long time, displaying rich and luminous paint and, unlike your "paintings" not done in Photoshop, emulsion (of which there are many made with glue, gum, starch and egg) have proved to be one of the most useful additions to the painter's armamentarium.
Had you ever attended an art school you might have learned that.
