: This may sound like a stupid question, but here goes..
: How do you know if your paint is dry...for glazes, next stages etc.... Is
it really necessary to wait six months before a final glaze? If not then how
do you decide?...Mine feel dry less than a week after painting them...but...???

The six month waiting period is for the final varnish of the painting to protect
it. For glazes, it's just a matter of dry to the touch - sometimes 'the drier
the better' depending on your glazing medium, if it has too much turp and you're
heavy handed, you can lift the layer of paint your glazing over.
