It is not necessary to understand the techno-scientific babble that goes on at these forums. There will always be people that get off on all the fancy talk and big words that go with the trade. However, you don't need to know that crap. It's obvious you already can paint and have talent and desire. Just keep doing what you're doing and pick up a bit here and there and maintain your own standards and you'll be just fine. The internet doesn't need one more scientific geek so stay simple the way you are.
