hmm,my knowledge of art? Talk is cheap. Let's put it this way. When Rob Howard
can show his work next to mine,(when it is done-6 new paintings), then we will talk.
Just for laughs lets post one I did when I was 14, next to one of Rob Howard's. So give me the
address where I should post it? Don't forget to look up my name for USAA Swimming on the internet
and see if I am a "talker" like Howard.

: hmm, i am starting to think Stumpy is another Rob Howard made fake name, due to the
: rapid response to my post, as Rob Howard immediately replies after Stump...umm. Schizophrenic?
: I could be wrong, but I don't think so as you can see a history of consectively posted
: questions that are very similar at similar times. And the rapidity of the reply is scary, meaning
: that no matter what hour of the day it is posted, Rob Howard answers it in a few minutes
: often. Scary. Anyway, I suggest you get Ralph Mayer's book on technique for painting,
: and see what he says about master "additives". Someone who could spin big Rob's
: head with knowledge of chemistry. Ralph Mayer says you only need regular oil paint
: and a lot of skill, as I also know. I forgot to mention that I think Rembrandt is not that
: great of a painter anyway, as I find it dull in color and boring in subject. When i said
: how did the medieval painters depicted form, you putz, i mean't texturally you pathetic
: insecure opportunistic ape. By the way what are you talking about? I went to an art school. Guess what?
: It was a waste. They did not know a goddamn thing about this type of painting, and actually said I
: should go to another school to learn it, then saw that the "other school" teachers sucked.
: I painted better than the teachers, and they only
: insulted me because of their pathetic insecurity..
: Despite the fact that Nerdrum is kind of a jerk as a person, he is a great painter,
: I won't insult him as the jealous Rob Howard does. About technique- Unfortunately no schools will teach you this,
: and they are pathetic approximations and guesswork. I will show you close-ups of
: areas that show what i am talking about eventually, when the painting are finished. (if paintings ever are).
: So if you want to paint with what Rembrandt had in mind, then go past it, , DON"T pay for a college
: education to get it. They will not help, your self-teaching will teach you enough.
: 0% of what i learned came from school, 100% came from solo study.
: The old masters are dead, they are just a stepping stone to great art for the present, and
: have little to do with what we want to convey other than emotion and some larger themes.
: It is the medieval approach that separates Rembrandt from the others, to compensate
: for his apparent lack of "drawing" ability compared to his predecesors.
: Ah, I see Rob Howard continues to attack me personally, how sad.
: Don't forget to buy his books and products!! at studioproducts.com!!

:
: : >>>There is nothing you cannot accomplish by simple means as i said. No egg nor maroger, etc.
: : You don't even need the ground glass either<<<

: : Spoken as a person just two years out of school...and not even an art school at that.

: : Would you care to hold forth on your views on astrophysics? They'd be based in as much real experience as your comments on art.
