PAINTER , PLEASE READ THIS In spite of the categorical fierceness and generosity of my enthusiasm, I have become disappointed in all the painter/professors that I have met. They can teach me nothing; perhaps they can be objective with my work and tell me trifling details that will improve it. These professors welcome the spirit of novelty with outstretched, idiotic arms; they are content to go on living their lives of idiocy as pseudo-aesthetes :
They love the defective and they recognize genius in ugliness.

There are few things that are more dispicable than the laziness of modern ( or post, perhaps 'post-post- modern')art. The craftsmanship of the rennaisance is almost a lost practice, and it is in this divine practice that I most fervently wish to submerge myself.
How do I mix my oil and with what? How do I obtain a continuous and compact matter, what method do I follow to obtain a given effect? How and in what proportion should I mix my oil with varnish? One must go progressicely and parsimoniously from lean to fat when painting. As consistency of paint is raised so too should the medium and its viscocity --- what elements go into my mediums, at what stages of progression, and in what measurements? What is the Divine Proportion (golden section) and how does one achieve it and make us of it, proffesor? Which colours should I excommunicate from my palette due to their tendencies to darken considerably over time. Where can I learn the art and science of PERSPECTIVE par exellence?

I ask for RIGOR, KNOWLEDGE, AND THE MOST EXACT SCIENCE OF DRAUGHTSMANSHIP.

Thus, I ask the readers of this gorgeously pretentious bit of writing to please inform me of specific academies, professors, masters, and authorities.

Thank you very much,
Alfredo Echeverrķa Ripstein
