Linseed oil?I have almost finished a painting, but I'm not sure how to solve a problem..I used linseed oil with the paint..however some of the colors have a glossier look than others, causing a very uneven sheen. It is very obvious incertain light..I have sprayed a coat of retouch varnish hoping it would even it out, and it did to a degree, but there are still some spots that stick out....What can I do to even the shine out..is it ok to go over the entire painting with a coat of linseed oil?...This is for someone else, they are anxious to have it..so I can't really wait 6mos for it to dry completely to varnish the traditional way...or should I just keep putting retouch varnish on til it evens out...I don't want to ruin it.
Thanks
Mary
