HOW TO TAKE NIGHT SCENES FROM A MOVING CRUISE?

I have a question: Since we have to have low shutter speed for night scenes (say the night view of empire state bldg), and we use fast shutter speeds when we want to freeze a moving object -- My QUESTION IS -- Assume we are on a moving cruise. How do we take the night shot of empire state bldg even while moving on the cruise. Kindly help, professionals and people who are knowledgable. KodakMama
