To James: My grandson -- he's an "objects programmer" hired gun for MacIntosh, so he should know what he is doing -- used the computer to investigate the rotation of the head he effected in viz., "the broken pitcher" I recently purchased and am fascinated with. The slope of the shoulder seems to be a critical "object" in that when figure of girl is rotated (electronically) it can be used to make the head appear to move. Beyond that we are stumped: and I am particularly in awe of his mastery with the human figure. He seems the best of the best as far as I am concerned.
