personally, i'm a figurative painter and my big loves are van eyck and caravaggio. i more and more often appropriate bits of them, (re reinventing the wheel), but work from photos of my own models, too. im 29 and been painting for years, but only recently feel as if i've come into my own practice. i guess art matures when it's good and ready to.

it's only SINCE art school that i've learnt about anatomy, etc. mostly, i guess i'm self taught, though i've had art training. best teachers have been quattro cento artists. i love this chat site coz it's nice to learn from live people for a change!!!
