FAT OVER LEAN

A few questions on how to actually employ the principle of "fat over lean" in oil painting:

1)If I want multiple layers of opaque and viscous paint(whether brushed-out or impasto), exactly how much extra oil would I need in each new layer, taking into account degrees of absorption and that different colors straight from the tube have different ratios of pigment to oil binder?

I have read that it should be a drop or two of medium to an inch of tube paint - so would this mean that if I wanted four layers of paint (i.e. three overlapping layers) that the last layer would have six drops of medium per inch? Do overlapping layers even need to be more oily or can they be equal?
What oil should I be using here?

2)Should Oleopasto be regarded as fat, lean, or neutral? I am wanting multiple layers of impasto using this medium (as an extender and to prevent wrinkling) but am suspecting that its rapid drying time would class it as lean - if this is the case, what other medium should I be adding to fatten it up?

Regards,
Gareth
