One of my best clients asked me to give her an extancive oil painting class. She is avery good person and client and friend. I have done a lot of work in her house plus she collects my paintings. I would love to teach her, but having touble figuring the fee.
I cannot charge her my regular rate, I do not feel it would be fare - I enjoy her company and after all my regular rate applyes to a finished commission - something that can be touched and kept.
Knowledge is more valuable than any material thing but I hope you understand my situation - any other client should be paying my "regular" rate or take a walk.
Anyway what is the average rate for one-on-one extensive oil painting lessons? Rob any ideas?
