I'm sure this has been covered before, but I've bought a rather large piece of plywood (2'x7') on
which I plan to do a painting. It's a 1/2" thick, sanded. Bought from a hardware store. I want to
paint on it, so what's the best and/or cheapest way to prepare this thing?

Any help with this much appreciated,
walker

Walker you probably already know about Acrylic gesso right? That would pretty much do it. Both sides say 2 coats each. 3 or 4 if it is to survive extreme weather conditions.
