Alesha....remember windows are a reflective surface just as water is. However, you can usually see what the water is reflecting because it is on the upper part of your painting. A window could reflect something way behind you that has nothing to do with your painting. So you darken the window, but only to the same value as your cast shadows under the eves..maybe slightly darker. Then apply very thin streaks the color of your sky at the horizon level (since windows are usually close to the horizon). Let me know how it goes.
