Can you imagine calling a plumber to fix a leaky drain and he says that he can't come to fix your drain because he has "Plumber's Block" How about an emergency room full of doctors who suffer from "Physician's Block?" It doesn't happen because they are pros and don't weep about their sensitive inner souals. They just do the job for which they were trained.
Why is it that artists are so self-indulgent as to allow "writer's block" and other related excuses prevent them from doing the job for which they were trained? For writers, the advice has always been simple -- place the seat of the pants on the seat of the chair an don't get up until you've written something.
Rather than wiping away those tears and giving you sympathy, how about some clear advice...get over it! Be an adult human being. Get up on your hind legs and stand in front of the easel and paint. If you can't do that, it means that you were lying to yourself in art school and you really don't have what it takes.
If you stand at the easel for a week or two, something's bound to happen. Either you will learn that you were completely full of not a very nice or that you can paint.
