Absolutely right on! Stretch your own, use good cotton or (better) linen canvas, buy it 10yds or more at a time, use pre-made stretchers in sizes as multiples of 4 and 5. Tack hammer, copper tacks and a pair of tin/metal workers vise grips. You can mfr. canvases far under the cost of pre-made canvases with a far better end product.
