Vermillion is great? Yeah it’s a lovely colour but I for one won’t use a colour that turns black over time or that I have to worry about what other colours I can/cannot mix with it.

Sorry but I have to say this is a judgement thing - it mixes differently with white, not better. Besides there are many other reliable reds other than the cadmiums.

BTW in case anyone is interested, Benzimidazolone Orange HL (PO36) appears to be a very close match to Vermillion in both masstone and undercolour if you can find it.
