I'm a new oil painter with wet on wet. Is it possible to make the background with oil ,let it dry and paint over it with acrylic for the subject. I find easier the landscape with oils and I prefer acrylics for details like animals etc. Thank's for your help!

: That can work. Acrylic adheres to oil very nicely and is much more flexible, so it won't crack. However, for applying details, nothing comes close to Technique Mixte. There's a discussion of it on Cennini Forum

Hold on! I have done a lot of reading about this subject over the years, and have NEVER heard that acrylics should be used over oils. There is almost (not quite) universal acceptance of oil over acrylic, but not the other way around.

In the first place, oils don't react well in the long term to layers on the top drying more quickly than layers underneath. Since the oils don't completely dry for several months, but the acrylics dry in hours, that is an immediate problem. The other is that acrylics just don't adheare well to an oily surface.

Don't take my word for it - here is a quote from the Windsor & Newton site:

"Acrylics can be used for underpainting on a stretched canvas provided the paint film remains thin. Thicker underpainting layers are possible on boards. Acrylics are not recommended on top of oil colour, even if the latter is old and dry. Acrylics do not adhere well to oil films."
