I can't really give you a "debate" as such, because your opinions are very hard to argue with. It is pretty time consuming, messy, and expensive to work with oil paints.

I will say this, however: I do most of my deadline assignments in acrylics, but I do ALL of my personal "easel" paintings in OIL. Why? Because it looks SO much better. And that's the bottom line for me.
