I'd like to know what colours in oil should i use to paint a silver plate in my still life painting. thanks!Undoubtedly there will be a reflective quality to the silver plate unless the silver is actually pewter, in this case it will be dull. If it is shiny, there should be reflective shapes of color in the plate. Paint them. And don't paint what you see, paint what you know.
