Dear 1art.com; I recently began painting with oils and I'm finding I get dry-flat patches...I assume it's from the layers of paint underneath that have dried to a certain extent and the new layer of paint I put on is making it go dry and flat. I recall having the same problems with oils years ago when I used it and I would love to know how I can overcome this problem (is it a matter of having to get the painting done in a certain length of time before the paint dries?)and if there's a way I can fix these areas because I've put so much work into it.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated...
