Looking for Artist "A. Cudney"

Hello,

I have an older oil painting which has been in our family for 30 yrs and no doubt it is older. (bought at an auction) We are simply trying to find out more about it.

It is an oil painting of a wildlife scene with Elk or Deer.

The painting is 12" x 20".

The signature on the bottom right is "A. Cudney" in printed letters by hand.

Is there any way I can find the artist or any information?

I have searched the Net and come up with nothing. Possibly someone could lead me into a more direct path to sites etc on old paintings etc?
