Hi. I'm doing a still life painting for class and the theme is Christmas. One of the objects that I used is a miniature drum ornament that has a gold top and strings on the sides. Another obejct is a small gift box with a silver rope tied around it. Our teacher wants us to use basic colors to create a silver or gold look without havig to buy silver or gold oil paint. If you have any tips on how I can create this effect, I would really appreciate it. Also, any tips on creating light and dark shadows for gold and silver would also be helpful. An information would really help me. Thank you.
