I am stumped also. i found this incredible painting of a mother and child with a gold earing. It is beautiful but have no information on the artist. Any luck. I live in Detroit Michigan. Found it in a resale shop.

: I agree, it is a fabulous painting! I have the same painting . It appears to be very old oil on canvas and the stretcher strips appear to be a very early style. Some of the staples have pulled through the canvas edges as it has shrunk from age. The stretcher strips are thinner and more narrow than recent decades.
I found the same painting at a yard sale here in Florida. The woman is fair skin with child of same. she wears a viel that looks of Spanish or European Origin and has a gold earring in her ear. I would like to find out more about the artist and learn the value of this painting. Stephanie
